Kate Middleton shared some sweet words about her future niece or nephew during her appearance in Leicester today. The Duchess of Cambridge said she's "absolutely" excited for the arrival of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first child, especially since it'll be a new cousin for her and Prince William's three children.

"It's such a special time to have little kiddies," she told a fan during a walkabout in Leicester. "And now a cousin for George, Charlotte and Louis as well! It'll be really special."

Kate's comments come after weeks of rumors surrounding Harry and Meghan's pending departure from Kensington Palace and alleged tensions between her and the Duchess of Sussex. However, Kate's excitement over the couple's future child seems to prove there are no hard feelings between her and her sister-in-law.

When Meghan's pregnancy was announced last month, a spokesperson from the Palace said that Kate and William were "delighted for the couple." They were also able to congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in person at Princess Eugenie's wedding.

Kate became an aunt for the first time just last month, after her sister Pippa welcomed a baby boy named Arthur in October. (Pippa even gave birth in the same hospital wing where the Duchess of Cambridge had all three of her kids.) She and William were excited about their new addition as well.

"The Duke and Duchess are thrilled for Pippa and James," a spokesperson for the couple told reporters the day after the baby's birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge just welcomed another baby of her own, Prince Louis, in April of this year.
