Kate Spade Left 4 Seasons Worth of Designs for Frances Valentine

According to her business partner.

Prior to her death on June 5, iconic designer Kate Spade was the Creative Director for another brand called Frances Valentine. Though most people knew her through her eponymous label which she sold in 2007, Frances Valentine quickly garnered the same excited customers as "Kate Spade."

Last week, it was revealed that her final collection with the brand had sold out leaving many fans disappointed thinking that they would no longer be able to purchase something created by the late designer. On June 13, however, it was announced that this might not be the case.

In an interview for Business Insider, her business partner, Elyce Arons, shared that Kate had left the company with an “abundant library of her concepts” so that they will be able to work—at least for the next few seasons—from her unique and whimsical design ideas. Elyce elaborated that her estimate suggested that Kate’s concepts would carry the brand through the next four seasons. She told the publication, “We have been inundated with calls and emails about product, but also about people's emotional connection to Kate. She was authentic, and I think people sensed that and really felt close to her."

While the brand has made no statement about the long-term future of the company, we have no doubt that they will beautifully carry on the vision that was so unique to Kate.
