Kate Middleton Wore a Vibrant Green Dress to the NATO Reception at Buckingham Palace

From Town & Country

World leaders gathered in London this week for a NATO Summit, and tonight, the royal family is doing their part for international diplomacy.

A handful of senior royals welcomed dignitaries—including Donald and Melania Trump—to Buckingham Palace for a reception in the late afternoon. The Windsors were predictably well-dressed for the important occasion. For her part, Kate Middleton wore a stylish green dress, though photos of her arrival at the event only showed the top portion of her outfit.

The reception was held in honor of the NATO Alliance's 70th anniversary. In a previous announcement, Buckingham Palace explained that after Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Camilla "formally receive" the NATO leaders and their partners, the Queen and Charles will pose for a photo with the heads of state.

Alongside the Queen, Charles, Camilla, and Kate, several other royals were in attendance. Prince Edward and Princess Anne joined their brother Charles (now that Prince Andrew has stepped back from royal duties for the "foreseeable future," the Queen only has three children who are working royals). Princess Alexandra and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester also made appearances; Prince William likely would've been there alongside Kate, too, but he's on a royal visit to Kuwait and Oman.

This is the second time this year that the British royals have hosted the Trumps. Back in June, the President and First Lady traveled to London for a State Visit, and spent a lot of time with the Windsors. Most notably, the Queen hosted the Trumps for a state banquet at the Palace, for which the royal family brought out their tiaras and other jewels. On that occasion, Kate Middleton wore a stunning white gown and the Lover's Knot Tiara.
