Kate Middleton and Prince William spent the third day of their royal tour of Pakistan in the Hindu Kush mountain range, where they visited the Chitral district of Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province. William's late mother Princess Diana also went there on her 1991 tour of the country.

Kate wore her most casual look of the tour so far for her day in the outdoors, pairing a brown top with a Really Wild waistcoat, a suede midi skirt, Spanish boots, and Missoma earrings. When she arrived in Chitral, Kate and William were both given traditional Chitral hats to wear, and Kate also received an embroidered coat.

The couple walked along the tip of a glacier to examine the effects of climate change in the region. Kensington Palace told Hello! this was done with the "hope to shine a light on the very real consequences of global warming and its devastating effects on our planet."

They then visited a village that suffered greatly before of the glacier's melting: farmland and homes were destroyed there when it was flooded in 2015 and met people there.

Kate and William ended their day on a more colorful note, visiting a village to learn about the Kalash people's culture and heritage. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were received there enthusiastically. Children gave them traditional hats and scarves to wear.
