Dr. Jill Biden and Kate Middleton just met for the first time on Friday during the Bidens' first presidential trip abroad.

The first lady and the Duchess of Cambridge toured a school in Cornwall, England, where the G-7 summit is set to take place this weekend. The duchess wore a red belted shift dress for the occasion, while Dr. Biden opted for a bright pink blazer over a white Akris dress.

According to CNN, Dr. Biden and the duchess met with students at Conor Downs Academy and participated in a roundtable discussion about early childhood education. They also toured an outdoor area of the school, where students help care for bunnies. The first lady even carried a large bowl of carrots to feed the animals.

"It's very important to the foundation," Dr. Biden said about early childhood education. "As a teacher at the upper levels, if they don't have a good foundation, they fall so far behind. This is amazing to see how far advanced they are."
