Kate Middleton Wore an Oversized Collar Dress to Mark the Reopening of the V&A Museum

The Duchess of Cambridge is well-known for her love of art and photography. She famously got her degree in art history from St. Andrews where she and Prince William met, and her candid snaps of her kids have become some of the most beloved pictures of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. In fact, back in 2018, while she was still on maternity leave following the birth of Prince Louis, Kate was announced at the first royal patron of the V&A—one of the country's most acclaimed museums. And today, the duchess is back at the V&A to mark its reopening after the COVID-19 shutdown.
Kate took a tour of Raphael Court which houses the Raphael Cartoons—a set of full-sized designs for tapestries painted by Renaissance master Raphael on a commission from Pope Leo X. The Cartoons have been on loan to the V&A from the Royal Collection since 1865, but the gallery which houses them recently underwent a major refurbishment to mark the 500th anniversary of the artist's death. While she was there, Kate also spoke with some of the museum staff about about their experiences during the pandemic.
For the occasion, she sported a stylish red check midi dress with an oversized collar (one of her mother-in-law Princess Diana's signature style elements) from London-based designer Alessandra Rich as well as an understated pair of suede pumps, reportedly from Jennifer Chamandi, and a black face mask.
