Kate Middleton knows how to make a statement in red.

The Duchess of Cambridge was caught beaming for a zoom call with veterans from Mais House on Friday. Kate, alongside her husband Prince William, participated in the video call in honor of Victory in Europe Day, which marks the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. In the clip, the duchess is donning a bright red, boat neck midi dress by L.K.Bennet, an ensemble she previously wore at the 2015 Wimbledon tennis tournament.

Per People, Mais House was hosting a virtual party in honor of VE Day and upon the Cambridges digital arrival, were greeted with waving flags and cheers. During their conversation, both William and Kate chatted with the veterans about their time serving, looking back on the decades since the war and also about family life. The duchess later revealed that Prince George and Princess Charlotte are currently learning the lyrics to "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn—a signature song of the war era that's now become relevant again since the queen referenced it in her recent speech addressing the coronavirus pandemic.

"The school has sent all the children a challenge, and they're currently learning the lyrics to the song 'We'll Meet Again.' It's been really lovely having that playing every day," said Kate during the call. She also hinted that Prince George may be coordinating a Zoom call of his own in the future with veteran, James Pyett, since the six-year-old is currently learning about World War II through his at home classes.

"He would be really honored to come and speak to you, so maybe another time George can have a quick chat with you to hear all your stories as well," said the duchess.

Further coinciding with the anniversary of VE Day, Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla led the nation in two minutes of silence from their Birkhall Estate in Scotland and the queen also appeared in a special televised broadcast to mark the occasion.
