The Duchess of Cambridge is well known for her sensible footwear choices. Unlike many royals before her, the Duchess often makes the practical decision to sport sneakers for official outings. Naturally, after so long in the spotlight, Kate has a few favorite pairs. Today, the Duchess ventured to London's Natural History Museum, wearing her beloved Veja sneakers.

Kate recently wore this same pair of shoes to visit her alma mater, the University of St Andrews. Today, she wore the white and gold sneakers with a pair of ever-trendy light wash "mom jeans," a white t-shirt, and a salmon-colored Chloé blazer. The Veja sneakers are a royal favorite, as Kate's sister-in-law, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, also often sports the shoe.

The Duchess visited the Natural History Museum to hear about the Museum’s Urban Nature Project, which strives to inform UK citizens about the importance of nature and wildlife in towns and cities. During her visit, the Duchess, always one to interact with kids, joined local schoolchildren in a few nature activities, including a "spider-making" arts and crafts project and an interactive story-telling exercise. The Duchess was spotted laughing with the children and crafting a "spider" of her own. The group also walked around the garden, observing the trees and wildlife.

At the end of her visit, Kate positioned an acoustic monitoring device on a cherry tree in the Museum's Wildlife Garden. This device will help Museum scientists investigate patterns of bird, mammal, and insect activity, by recording ambient sounds in the garden.
