Kate Middleton is definitely the coolest mom in the carpool line. The Duchess of Cambridge joined husband Prince William in dropping off their two oldest children, six-year-old Prince George and four-year-old Princess Charlotte, to their first day of elementary school today.

As Charlotte joined her big brother at his prep school, Thomas's Battersea in London, for the first time, Duchess Kate held hands with her daughter on the way in. She wore a beautiful floral dress for the occasion.

Kate seems happy to be present at the drop-off, especially since she was absent during Prince George's first day as a new student in 2017. At the time, she was pregnant with her third child, Prince Louis, and was home suffering from an acute form of morning sickness called hyperemesis gravidarum. She reportedly "watched the news from home" and was "desperately sad" that she couldn't be there with her eldest, a source told Us Weekly at the time.

However, the mother of three has been involved with her children's back-to-school journeys by taking charming, commemorative photos of the tots as they made their way to class. In January 2018, she snapped a smiling Princess Charlotte rocking a red coat and tiny backpack before she attended Wilcocks Nursery School in London. And in 2016, she photographed a wee Prince George in a blue coat and book bag as he headed to Westacre Montessori School nursery in Norfolk.
