Kate Middleton visited Evelina London Children’s Hospital on Tuesday, wearing a bold blue peak shoulder leaf crepe jacket with matching cropped trousers from Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton. Underneath the jacket, she wore a teal blue knit sweater. She accessorized the suit with a black belt coordinated with navy Gianvito Rossi suede pumps.

For accessories, Middleton selected sapphire and diamond earrings with a matching necklace that originally belonged to Princess Diana, the last person to hold the title of Princess of Wales before Middleton.

Middleton’s visit to the Evelina London Children’s Hospital marked the opening of the hospital’s new Children’s Day Surgery Unit. The facility is expected to revolutionize family-centric care for young patients. The layout of the space is meant to alleviate the stress of moving around hospitals for families. The unit features two additional theaters, guaranteeing extra care for an additional 2,300 children annually.

Middleton has been a patron of Evelina London since 2018. During her visit, she got to chat with staff and families about the difference the unit has made to patient care and creating a more seamless experience for staff and patients.

Evelina London Children’s Hospital helps more than 100,000 patients annually. Middleton visited the hospital in 2022 during the Platinum Jubilee celebration of Queen Elizabeth II. The Princess of Wales wanted to meet with patients, family and staff who couldn’t participate in the Platinum Jubilee festivities in person.

Middleton’s Alexander McQueen suits have become part of her signature style. In September, she wore a similar suit in a darker blue color to visit HM Prison High Down. For a day of social engagements in May, she wore a Barbiecore pink version of the suit. The brand’s former creative director, Sarah Burton, also designed Kate Middleton’s white gown for King Charles III’s coronation.
