Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are “twinning” once again. While Meghan and Prince Harry are preparing for their baby’s birth any time now, Kate stepped out on Thursday wearing one of the Meghan’s go-to jackets — the khaki cargo jacket. Kate wore the versatile jacket with a J.Crew burgundy sweater with black skinny jeans and her favorite Chloé boots.
Kate spent the day visiting the Scout’s headquarters in Gilwell Park to celebrate the site’s 100th anniversary and spend time with the young Scouts. To mark the special occasion, the 37-year-old royal finished off her look with a red, white and blue Scouting scarf.
In February, Meghan sported her favorite khaki cargo jacket (also by J.Crew) with black jeans to visit the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports. Similar to Kate, Meghan kept her look simple and classic, pairing it with a casual Breton sweater, skinny jeans and Stuart Weitzman boots. The khaki cargo jacket is one Meghan’s closet staples as the duchess has worn it back in 2016 long before she became a royal and met her future prince.
The khaki cargo jacket is easily the season’s must-have jacket. You can style it with a t-shirt, sweater or blouse and with cropped jeans, culotte jeans, skinny jeans or bootcut jeans — no matter what — it adds an instant cool factor to a springtime look. The khaki cargo jacket is as classic and timeless as a jean jacket — it will never go out of style. This spring, take a page out of Kate and Meghan’s style book and buy a khaki cargo jacket. We promise you won’t regret it.
