Kate Middleton Tripped In Public And Giggled About It With Prince William And The Video Is Priceless

  • Kate Middleton tripped during a royal engagement yesterday and shared a cute giggle with Prince William.

  • The couple also shared a super rare PDA moment that was captured on camera.

Kate Middleton and Prince William had several cute moments at a public engagement yesterday, the first of which was Kate fully tripping on her way to the car. The Duchess and William were leaving the Troubadour White City Theatre in London when she tripped and luckily didn’t fall. In a video from the Daily Mail, you can see William reach for Kate before she recovers her balance and then they both giggle. Truly, I’ve never felt like I have more in common with someone who wears tiaras in her free time.

On top of that cuteness, William and Kate shared an ultra-rare PDA moment. And when I say “PDA moment,” I mean that William touched Kate’s back, which—considering they rarely show intimacy in public—is a big deal. Like, no they’re not making out courtside at a Clippers game while two traumatized blonde ladies stare on in horror, but it’s something!

FYI, there’s no specific rule against royal PDA. It kinda just depends on the event.

As royal etiquette expert Myka Meier once told to People:

“Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or cannot show PDA and would be trusted to use their better judgment as to when it’s appropriate. The royals often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending. At a somber or more formal event, we are less likely to see PDA than at a casual event where it would be deemed more fitting.”
