Kate Middleton Took These New Photos of Prince Louis, and They’re So Cute
Prince Louis' first birthday is April 23, and Kensington Palace decided to celebrate by giving us some brand-new photos of him—taken by his mother, Kate Middleton.
Naturally, the pics are all sorts of adorable and feature several outfit changes. In one set, little Prince Louis is wearing a navy blue sweater with a dog on it; in the next, he has on a burgundy pullover. What's most notable about these photos is just how much Prince Louis looks like his father, Prince William. Seriously, these two are the spitting image of each other. I know that doesn't sound that shocking—kids look like their parents!—but Prince William and Prince Louis' resemblance is uncanny.

"Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz," Kensington Palace tweeted last year when Middleton gave birth. "The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well...The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news."
Kate Middleton doesn't open up very often about motherhood, but in January she did briefly discuss her struggles as a new parent. “It’s so hard," she said. "You get a lot of support with the baby as a mother particularly in the early days, but after the age of one, it falls away. After that, there isn’t a huge amount—lots of books to read. Everybody experiences the same struggle."

Reports suggest she's due any day now, and her mother, Doria Ragland, has already flown to England for the birth. However, it might be a while before we see any photos of Baby Sussex. Buckingham Palace gave this update on April 11, 2019:
"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family."
Markle and Prince Harry announced in October 2018 they were expecting their first child.
