The Duchess of Cambridge just arrived at the launch of the National Emergencies Trust, a new independent charity which will provide emergency services during disasters in the U.K.

For today's event, Kate chose to wear a royal blue dress, which she paired with black pumps and a shiny black clutch.

In the lead up to Remembrance Day, the duchess also wore a poppy pin on her chest. Generally, the poppy symbolizes support for veterans and those who have died in the line of duty, but more specifically, Kate's brooch appears to be a special design dedicated to those women who served during WWI.

Prince William was originally scheduled to appear at this engagement alone, but on Tuesday, it was announced that the Duchess of Cambridge would be joining her husband. During the event, they are expected to meet with victims of the Grenfell Tower as well as emergency support staff.

"Whenever and wherever disaster strikes here in the UK, this country has a unique way of pulling together," William said in a speech this morning.

"Many thanks to the whole team behind the Trust for all their hard work ahead of the launch. We all dread the day when you are needed. But I know that, like everyone here, I am glad that you now exist.

The public will be seeing quite a bit of the royal couple over the next few days. In addition to today's events, the Cambridges will also appear at alongside nearly every working member of the royal family at the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday. Both William and Harry will be in attendance, marking the first time the brothers have been seen together in public following Harry's acknowledgement of tension between them, when he said they were "on different paths" in the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

Both the Sussexes and the Cambridges are also expected to be at Sunday's Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph, and then on Monday, it has been announced that Will and Kate will attend the Royal Variety Performance.
