Kate Middleton Shares New Photos With George and Charlotte to Celebrate Mother’s Day in the U.K.

For Mother's Day in the U.K., Kate Middleton and Prince William spread a little cheer online by posting a few rare photos that offer a personal look at their family.

On Sunday, March 22, the royal couple sent happy wishes to all the moms out there while showing off a selection of sweet, intimate shots on their joint Instagram account, @KensingtonRoyal. The first photo portrayed Kate giving Princess Charlotte a piggyback ride while William carried Prince George on his back. If you scroll all the way through, the post also shared a card George made for his mom to celebrate today's occasion.

The card George made is an adorable example of his handiwork, featuring a hand-drawn vase with cutout paper flowers. The post also included images of Prince Diana with Prince Harry and Prince William, and Kate with her mother Carole Middleton.

In the caption, the duke and duchess referenced the difficult period of isolation and social distance happening throughout the globe as a result of the coronavirus health pandemic. "To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart—we are thinking of you all at this difficult time," the post read.

Kate and William reached out to those on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak in London last week, visiting first responders to thank them for their work during the health crisis. They reportedly met with a few met staffers and sent regards from the queen and Prince Charles.

"That is why Catherine and I were proud to visit staff working at NHS 111, to pass on our personal thanks, along with those of my grandmother and father, to staff working around the clock to provide care and advice to those that need it most," Prince William told the first responders. “All of us have a part to play if we’re going to protect the most vulnerable. That means acting on the latest expert advice, staying home if we or those we live with have symptoms, and avoiding nonessential contact to help reduce the spread of the virus.”
