Kate Middleton has made her first Instagram post, shared through the Kensington Royal account. On Sunday morning, the account shared photos from Kate and Prince William’s trip to Pakistan, along with an emotional caption from the Duchess herself.

“The community at the SOS Village is built around family - and the best possible family you could imagine - where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care,” the caption read. “These vulnerable children, many who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive. — Catherine”

William and Kate arrived in Pakistan on Monday and returned home to London on Friday. After they were unable to leave Lahore as scheduled on Thursday night, the couple decided to pay a second visit to the SOS Village. During their time at the orphanage they took part in a game of cricket and did arts and crafts with the children.

They even received gifts for their own kids, who were back at home in England, including cricket bats, which they joked were currently bigger than Louis.

During the cricket match William hit a ball that accidentally hit his wife in the neck. She feigned injury as she yelled “William!” while he joked to the children, “She’s my wife, so I can just about get away with it.”

Kate reportedly asked her aids if they could make another trip to the village after their plane had to make an emergency landing due to an electrical storm.
