Kate Middleton Secretly Shows Up on Popular Reality Show Set with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis

It’s no secret that Kate Middleton, 41, is a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing, which is like a U.K. version of Dancing with the Stars. And it appears that the mother of three is not the only member of the royal family who enjoys watching the competition show.

According to The Sun, the Princess of Wales made a secret trip to the set of Strictly Come Dancing last week and brought along two guests: Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. That’s right, the two young royals apparently joined their mom behind the scenes to watch the stars rehearse.

And that’s not even the best part. Per the report, the royal siblings got an opportunity to sit in the judges’ chairs for rehearsal and “deliver verdicts” with the infamous “scoring paddles” used on the show to rate the dancing duo, Katya Jones and Neil Jones.

It also seems Princess Catherine personally met Strictly Come Dancing presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. While on set for two hours, they were introduced to professional dancers Dianne Buswell and Nadiya Bychkova in addition to getting a tour of the costume department, where young Louis is said to have tried on a gold crown and modeled it for the contestants to see.

An unnamed source told The Sun, “Kate [Middleton] and [her daughter Princess] Charlotte are huge fans of Strictly, so they were delighted to be invited.” They continued, “The children were especially excited and got dressed up” and “were thrilled to be on set and to meet their favorite celebrities.”

Princess Catherine has been a big fan of Strictly Come Dancing for quite a while. Back in 2021, her husband, Prince William, 41, revealed to Strictly judges Shirley Ballas and host Claudia Winkleman just how much she loves the competition show.

“I have watched the show [Strictly] a couple of times,” the Prince of Wales said, according to Hello! magazine. “Catherine is a huge fan.” Oh, and if that weren’t enough, Prince Harry also loves the show, even making a virtual appearance back in 2020, and the late Queen Elizabeth used to watch as well.
