What does one wear to a family reunion? It's a question that has baffled us all at some point, including Kate Middleton.

For today's Commonwealth Day service—and the first time she and Prince William have publicly reunited with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle since the Sussexes announced their plans to step back from their royal roles—Kate knew exactly what would be appropriate. The Duchess chose a burgundy red coat paired with a matching red hat with rose detailing. She finished off the monochrome look with a red velvet clutch and crimson suede pumps.

Kate has actually worn this striking coat previously, though for a far different occasion. The Duchess chose this jacket for Christmas Day services with the royal family back in 2018.

The annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey celebrates the 54 commonwealth countries. Traditionally, multiple members of British royal family attend the event, and this year is no exception. Even Harry and Meghan are in attendance, though as part of something of a farewell tour. The Sussexes have spent the past week in the UK, attending their final engagements as working royals before they officially transition out of their senior positions in the royal family on March 31.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been busier than ever. The pair just returned from their first official visit to Ireland. During their trip, William and Kate spent time in Dublin, County Meath, County Kildare, and Galway, meeting with influential figures along the way.

Kate, however, certainly looks no worse for the ware. Despite her extensive travels, the Duchess looked beautiful and bright-eyed for this public family reunion, perhaps the last one for a long time.
