Kate Middleton Reveals the One Thing She Will Never Put in Her Tea

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, is used to living in the public eye. As a leading member of the British royal family, she’s a frequent subject of headlines that may or may not be true.

Take, for example, the rumor that Middleton is an ardent fan of almond milk.

As many outlets would lead you to believe, Middleton is a health-conscious royal mom who only indulges in healthy treats. However, according to Middleton herself, some of these headlines are simply, well, fake news.

A few days ago, Middleton visited a cafe run by a charity that focuses on helping the homeless in England. There, she and her husband prince William sat down for a bite to eat and to enjoy a spot of tea. On the tray, the volunteers also set aside a bit of almond milk for Middleton.

Volunteer Kim Gardener told the royal couple they put almond milk on the table because they had read that Kate preferred it.

However, in a rare and candid response, Middleton replied: “Don’t believe everything you read — I don’t even like almond milk.”

But while Middleton may have left the almond milk out of her tea, the pair apparently enjoyed the sweet treats, which included a princess confection complete with a tiara and a Union Jack cake, according to People.

“You should be on 'Bake Off!'” William told the bakers, referring to U.K. reality competition show "The Great British Bake Off."

While the royal duo has been making the rounds lately, they will likely soon slow down, as Middleton is expecting their third child sometime in April. According to People, the royals will make a four-day visit to Sweden and Norway before officially going on maternity leave until their little one arrives.

Then, of course, they will need to be ready to go as William’s brother, Prince Harry, is set to walk down the aisle to wed Meghan Markle in May, just a few weeks after the birth.
