Kate Middleton Revealed a Rare Dressed Down Look on Instagram Today

Kate Middleton is sharing her COVID-19 vaccination journey.

On Saturday morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Instagram shared a photo of Kate getting her first dose of the vaccine, along with a caption that seems to have penned by the duchess herself.

"Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum," the caption explains. "I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout — thank you for everything you are doing."

In addition to documenting the Duchess of Cambridge's vaccination journey, the photo also gave royal fans a rare glimpse at Kate's off-duty style. In the picture, she's the epitome of casual in a pair of high-waisted jeans and a plain white t-shirt. The duchess wore her hair down and un-styled for the appointment and accessorized her look only with a very subtle, understated pair of earrings and her iconic engagement ring.

Prince William got his first dose of the vaccine earlier this month and shared his own message about the experience on Instagram and Twitter on May 20.

"On Tuesday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine," the royal wrote along with a picture of himself receiving the first dose of the vaccine. "To all those working on the vaccine rollout - thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do."

In February, Queen Elizabeth II received her first dose of the vaccine at her residence at Windsor Castle. The monarch joined health officials on a video call to share her experiences receiving the vaccine and to encourage others to follow suit.

"Once you’ve had a vaccine you have a feeling of you know, you’re protected which I think is very important and as far as I could make out it was quite harmless," the Queen said during the call. "It was very quick, and I’ve had lots of letters from people who have been very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine. And the jab – it didn’t hurt at all."
