He may be the future King of England, but Prince William reportedly has quite the royal temper, with an insider revealing that he is prone to throwing “tantrums” when he doesn’t get his own way. Yikes! We already know that the Prince and Princess of Wales’ marriage is less-than-perfect, with Tom Quinn writing in his book Gilded Youth: An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family that the Wales’ have “terrible rows” which sometimes cause them to “throw things at each other.”

We also learned back in April that the Princess of Wales, 41, was unhappy with her husband, 40, for not defending her against the attacks in Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir, Spare. And more recently, we learned that she was unhappy that her former friend Rose Hanbury, who Prince William was rumored to have had an affair with, was invited to, and attended, King Charles’ coronation last month.

Kate Middleton Reportedly Treats Prince William 'Like The Fourth Child'

Quinn has now spilled even more details about the Prince and Princess of Wales' life behind closed doors, telling The Express that a Kensington Palace source told him that Kate – who is mom to Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5 – treats her husband like a "fourth child" because he is "prone to tantrums." We can't believe it either!

Quinn said, as per The Mirror: "Kate treats him like the fourth child because he's prone to tantrums. They do have rows. It's not a perfect marriage. They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It's always kept under control." Oh to be a fly on the wall!

The Wales' Adopt The Late Queen Elizabeth II's Mantra In Public

Of course none of this comes across when the Prince and Princess of Wales are in public, which Quinn said is down to the late Queen Elizabeth II's infamous "never complain, never explain" mantra.

"Because William adopts the manners and ways of behaving of his grandmother, and Kate is very good at not complaining, both of them have stuck to the thing that made Queen Elizabeth II such a remarkable monarch," Quinn explained, adding, "They very rarely complain, and when they do, it’s always in measured terms."

Another source told Us Weekly back in May that the Wales' are arguing more than ever these days, with a large part of it being down to Prince Harry, 38, his memoir, and the ongoing rift between the brothers, which royal author Christopher Andersen said had "heavily affected" the Princess of Wales.

"No marriage is perfect, including Kate and William’s and they’ve certainly had their ups and downs over the years," the Us Weekly insider spilled at the time. "They bicker like most couples and have recently been under pressure dealing with the drama surrounding Prince Harry."
