Kate Middleton Put a New Spin on a Gown She Wore 4 Years Ago
Kate Middleton is busy. The Duchess of Cambridge followed an afternoon at Commonwealth services alongside the rest of the royal fam, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry included, with an evening spent hosting a 25th anniversary gala for children’s mental health charity Place2Be.
Middleton, being a re-wear Queen — er, Duchess, arrived at the Buckingham Palace fête in a cobalt blue Jenny Packham gown she debuted during a trip to India in 2016. That said, she put quite the spin on her gala look.
In 2016, Middleton paired the gown with a matching chiffon shawl and clutch, and a pair of large, bright blue dangling earrings. She wore her hair in an intricate bun at the nape of her neck.
Four years later, Middleton ditched the shawl, let her hair down in its signature bouncy waves, and swapped the heavy stone for some dangling diamond and sapphire earrings.
Earlier in the day, Middleton tackled another re-wear, arriving at Westminster Abbey in the same burgundy coat she wore to Christmas Day service in 2018.
