As fall 2023 begins, there's certainly been no lack of eye-catching fashion trends to enjoy so far this year. However, Kate Middleton has spent the year making a very persuasive case for one look in particular: blazers. Since January, the Princess of Wales has sported numerous colorful iterations of this wardrobe staple, using them to add freshness to simple silhouettes and an extra hint of polish to otherwise laid-back looks. From pale numbers (we know Kate loves a white suit!) to technicolor toppers or more autumnal styles, here's how Kate has brought the trend to her own closet—and how you can add her looks to your own.
The Princess of Wales looked totally on-trend in a red tweed blazer while visiting a sensory play group in late September. While Kate's exact topper is no longer available, there are several options to choose from on the internet.
Pocket Tweed Jacket
Kate looked every bit ready for fall in a dark green pantsuit by Burberry while visiting AW Hainsworth, a family-owned heritage textile mill outside of Leeds.
Petite Stretch Wool Jacket
Nothing says autumn like a neutral look. Kate stepped out in a custom tan Roland Mouret suit, and you can easily get the look yourself at a more accessible price.
Willa Blazer
For a visit to Hereford in mid-September, Kate was in a houndstooth blazer by Maje. While the blazer seems to be sold out online, many other similar blazers are available—a perfect fall wardrobe staple.
Charlyne Tailored Wool Blazer
Kate repeated a go-to Alexander McQueen blazer in her closet during a visit to HMP High Down. Here, she wears the McQueen leaf crepe jacket in amethyst, which is currently sold out, but other colors are still available online. She also owns the blazer in ivory and pink.
Leaf Crepe Jacket
To visit a Dame Kelly Holmes DKH Trust program for mental health, Kate opted for a sunny blazer over an all white look. While her go-to L.K. Bennett blazer is sold-out, you can still shop similar styles to bring some summery energy to your wardrobe.

Olive Blazer
For the coronation concert that capped off King Charles III's coronation weekend, Kate wore a fun, eye-catching red suit by Alexander McQueen, including this asymmetrical blazer. She'd previously worn the look for an event supporting the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, proving that a good blazer can work for any occasion.
Women's Leaf Crepe Drop Hem Jacket
Two blazers in one day? No problem for the Princess of Wales. Before the coronation concert, Kate and Prince William stopped in at a Big Lunch celebration, where Kate wore a powder blue linen blazer by Reiss.
Hollie Double Breasted Linen Blazer
While the pale blue blazer might be the newest addition to her Reiss blazer collection, it's not the first—in fact, this beige version has been Kate's go-to for numerous events, including a visit to The Baby Bank in Windsor this April, as well as a September 2021 during a visit to the RAF Brize Norton and a trip to the Disaster Emergency Committee headquarters last spring.
Larsson Double Breasted Twill Blazer
Kate stepped out at NatWest bank's London headquarters to promote her new Business Taskforce for Early Childhood in March 2023 a dapper and demure ivory blazer by one of her favorite labels, Alexander McQueen.
Women's Tailored Peak-Lapel Jacket
While Kate's closet certainly doesn't lack for high-end pieces, the princess isn't immune to the lure of a good bargain piece. Case in point, the Zara blazer she wore for to welcome Captain Preet Chandi home from her solo expedition across Antarctica this February.
