On Christmas Day, royally-obsessed fans received a surprise gift from the British royal family.

On December 25, Kate Middleton, 41, and Prince William, 41, shared a new portrait of their three kids—Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5—on their joint Instagram account. Similar to the photo featured in their Christmas card for 2023, this black and white pic shows the three siblings sharing an embrace while sitting on a wooden chair.

For the photoshoot, the royals are rocking buttoned-up shirts. However, Charlotte sports a pair of denim jeans while George is donning black slacks. And Louis (aka the face meme king) seems to have opted for a pair of black shorts.

The caption read, “Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas, from our family to yours!” The Prince and Princess of Wales signed the note with their unique marker: “W & C.”

As we said before, the Wales family unveiled their annual holiday card on social media back in December of 2023. The royal family served old school vibes in the striking portrait. In the caption, Catherine and William wrote, “Our family Christmas card for 2023,” with a Christmas tree emoji and a heart emoji.

In case you didn’t know, Josh Shinner was the royal photographer who snapped both portraits. Last month, the photographer reposted the black and white portrait on his personal IG page and shared what it was like working with the royal fam.

“It was such a pleasure to photograph The Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for the Christmas portrait this year,” he wrote in the caption. Then he opened up about working with the royal couple’s three kids, writing, “Without [a] doubt, one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sittings I’ve ever had, and I now have a whole new set of jokes that are right on my level thanks to the children…A huge thanks to the @princeandprincessofwales for having me.”

A lovely holiday surprise.
