Kate Middleton and Prince William Just Had a Secret Meeting with an American at Kensington Palace
According to Hello!, the Cambridges hosted Gates, who is co-chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, on behalf of their Royal Foundation ... perhaps to pick up pointers from the founder of the largest private charity in the world?
Considering William and Kate’s Royal Foundation has recently split from the Sussexes—they’ve even updated their website to reflect the change by removing the Sussexes’ names from the “principals” section of the site—the duke and duchess may be seeking counsel about how to best proceed as the sole patrons of their growing organization.
The Sussexes announced the name of their own charitable vehicle, the Sussex Royal Foundation, in July, but haven’t officially unveiled it to the world. They have, however, recently appointed two new directors.
Next week, Kate and William will travel to Pakistan to kick off their royal tour. George, Charlotte and Louis will stay home while their parents travel around the country for four days in what Kensington Palace is calling the “most complex tour undertaken by The Duke and Duchess to date, given the logistical and security considerations.”
Bill ... any tips? (We probably would’ve tapped a billionaire philanthropist for life advice, too.)
