“I survived my kids’ fall break” is one of those parenting milestones that no one talks about — but is still worthy of celebration! Like spring break and summer break, fall break is one of those made-up holidays where kids don’t have to go to school, but parents still have to work. It can be stressful to say the least, and the Wales family is feeling it too. Insiders dished on the chaotic way Prince William and Kate Middleton are handling their three kids being out of school, and it all feels very familiar.

Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, are currently out of school for their “half-term break” from Lambrook. Royal expert Jennie Bond opened up about how this break likely looks for the Wales family.

“William and Kate have three children with very different demands,” she told The Daily Express, per Marie Claire. “We know poor George has been feeling rather under the cosh lately because school life seems to be all about being tested. So this half-term holiday may not be quite like his previous holidays and could involve a certain amount of revision.”

While Prince George tries to focus on his studies, his younger siblings will likely just be enjoying their time off. “That will be doubly hard with his sister and little brother having all the fun, but I’m sure William and Kate will find a healthy balance that will allow George to join in most of the time,” Bond added.

As parents, we obviously want to take advantage of the time our kids are out of school. It’s a great time to make core memories! On the other hand, helping one child study (and prepare for entrance exams to Eton College) while making sure the other kids are entertained and not getting into trouble is no easy feat. Trust me, I just had three kids home for fall break, and I know exactly what they’re going through!

Bond said the Prince and Princess of Wales will be making George “their priority” this week.

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 02: Prince George of Cambridge, Prince Louis of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge ride in a carriage during Trooping The Colour, the Queen's annual birthday parade, on June 02, 2022 in London, England.Trooping The Colour, also known as The Queen's Birthday Parade, is a military ceremony performed by regiments of the British Army that has taken place since the mid-17th century. It marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign. This year, from June 2 to June 5, 2022, there is the added celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II in the UK and Commonwealth to mark the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne on 6 February 1952. “George will be their priority right now because of his exams and his future schooling to consider,” she said. “Charlotte is relatively carefree but, as the only girl, she’ll no doubt command special attention. Louis is the little kid on the block — probably getting away with murder while their parents are too busy with the others to chastise him.” It’s OK! When you have more than one kid you have to prioritize, and sometimes that means letting the little one go a smidge wild. We’ve all done it!

Still, even with studying to do, Prince George will likely be enjoying his break. After all, the Lambrook School has an “intense” six-day school week! It’ll be nice for the family to spend some quality time together, even if Prince William and Princess Kate are exhausted by the end of it all.
