Kate Middleton and Prince William are going on royal tour! Sort of! The couple have largely been staying at home during the pandemic, but just left on a train ride around Great Britain—where they'll be making stops in England, Scotland and Wales.

According to People, the Duke and Duchess plan to spend their time meeting frontline workers—including care home staff and teachers, as well as school kids and volunteers who have gone “above and beyond” this year.

Here's the couple masked up and boarding the royal train yesterday, as well as some footage of them meeting with transit workers:

And here they are at their first stop in Edinburgh, where they "met paramedics and staff of the Scottish Ambulance Service—as representatives of the NHS—to thank them for their incredible efforts throughout the pandemic, and to acknowledge the toll that the pandemic has taken on the physical and mental wellbeing of emergency responders."

As a spokesperson said in a statement, “The Duke and Duchess are very much looking forward to shining a spotlight on the incredible work that has been done across the country throughout this difficult year and to sharing their gratitude on behalf of the nation for all those supporting their local communities ahead of the Christmas holidays.”
