Meghan Markle and Prince Harry confirmed the arrival of their second child, a baby girl on Sunday June 6.
Announcing that their daughter had been born on Friday June 4 at a hospital in Santa Barbara, California, the couple revealed the baby's name to be Lilibet ('Lili') Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, a tribute to both Harry's grandmother the Queen and late mother, Princess Diana.
Following the news, the couple were met with well-wishes from across the world, including public congratulations from their families.
Kate Middleton and Prince William shared a photo of Meghan, Harry and Archie which was taken during the Duchess of Sussex's pregnancy on their Instagram account to celebrate the arrival of their niece, writing: 'We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.'
The Queen also joined in the commemorations, releasing a statement via Buckingham Palace on the royal family's Instagram account which accompanied a picture of Prince Harry and Meghan on their wedding day.
'Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the birth of Lilibet Diana! The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news,' the statement said, confirming that Lilibet is the 11th great-grandchild for the monarch.
Similarly, Clarence House - the Instagram account representing Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall - congratulated the couple, saying: 'Wishing them all well at this time.'
Prince Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie, who welcomed her first child August earlier this year with husband Jack Brooksbank, shared a photo taken by Harry and Meghan's friend Misan Harriman, which was used to announce Meghan's pregnancy back in February.
'Congratulations dear cousins, we couldn't be happier for you all,' wrote Eugenie under the sweet snap.
