Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales

Moments after Kate Middleton publicly announced she was diagnosed with cancer, social media flooded with messages of hope dedicated to her.

Politicians, royal watchers and A-listers alike were among those praying for the Princess of Wales and sending her love.

Rishi Sunak, the U.K. prime minister, shared a touching tribute on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "The Princess of Wales has the love and support of the whole country as she continues her recovery."

"She has shown tremendous bravery with her statement today. In recent weeks she has been subjected to intense scrutiny and has been unfairly treated by certain sections of the media around the world and on social media. When it comes to matters of health, like everyone else, she must be afforded the privacy to focus on her treatment and be with her loving family."

The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, also shared a statement, "On behalf of Londoners, I wish the Princess of Wales a swift recovery as she undergoes treatment. My thoughts are with her & her family. Cancer has an impact on so many of us - & her bravery in sharing her diagnosis will help raise awareness & encourage others to get checked."

"My thoughts and prayers are with the Princess of Wales and the Royal family on the sad news that the Princess is fighting cancer," wrote former royal butler turned etiquette expert Grant Harrold.

Meghan McCain shared her support, calling the princess "the epitome of class and grace."

"America is sending Princess Kate and the entire royal family strength and support during this challenging time. Princess Kate has always been the epitome of class and grace - never more so than now.

"She is one amazing woman. It took me months to come to terms with my diagnosis and well over a year to ready myself to go public. For her to have to tell the entire world like this... Let's just say she is more ballsy than me," shared editor and columnist Stephen Pollard. "Let's hope she will be ok. Modern medicine is amazing."

"The fact Princess Kate has to do this over a video just shows how far conspiracies have gone, no one would believe she has cancer otherwise Her world has turned upside down & she’s being forced to put out a video looking her best," one royal watcher suggested. "Get well soon Kate."

As Parade previously reported, the princess issued a shocking video message on Friday, March 22, sharing that further testing after her abdominal surgery in mid-January revealed an unspecified type of cancer. The devastating news comes weeks after King Charles III broke his silence regarding his own health complications and cancer battle.

Wishing the princess, and the rest of the royal family, well during this incredibly difficult time.
