Kate Middleton Is Positively Glowing in a New Birthday Photo

When it comes to the royal family right now, all eyes are on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry following their bombshell announcement. But that hasn't stopped Kate Middleton from celebrating her birthday and sharing the moment online.

Kate and William took to the official Kensington Royal Instagram account with a brand-new photo of Kate sitting atop a rustic wooden fence.

It looks like the duchess is spending some carefree time in the country in the new snap, which is a decidedly different situation than what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently dealing with. Kate looks completely relaxed, living it up in a soft gray sweater with a long-sleeved blouse beneath paired with simple jeans.

"Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages on The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday!" reads the photo's caption. Interestingly enough, despite everything going on with Meghan and Harry as of late, the official Sussex Royal account took some time out to send Kate some birthday wishes.

"Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Cambridge today! " their comment read.

Kate appears to be celebrating her birthday the best she can, despite reports that Prince William is having a difficult time dealing with his brother Harry's latest development.

"William was blindsided by Harry and Meghan’s decision and statement," according to Us Weekly.

"There’s still a rift between the two brothers. It’s sad because when they were younger, William would be the first person Harry would go to with big news like this." It seems like the best course of action for William and his family, according to the source, is to "move forward with his life."

It's unclear how Kate currently feels about the situation with Meghan and Harry, but hopefully she can carve out some time to focus on her birthday amid all the drama.
