Meghan Markle isn't the only royal out on an unannounced event today. Kate Middleton has just arrived at University College London for her own surprise engagement. And like her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge is also wearing burgundy. Kate chose a holiday-ready Paule Ka blazer and skirt with a black turtleneck to wear for her event:

Kate is at UCL visiting a neuroscience lab to "learn about their ground-breaking research into how experience shapes brain development in very young infants," royal reporter Emily Andrews shared.

Her husband, Prince William, attended the This Can Happen conference yesterday to talk about men's mental health. The two also went to the BBC last week to talk about cyberbullying prevention as part of Anti-Bullying Week.

Earlier today, Meghan had her own event at the Hubb Community Kitchen to see how the proceeds from the cookbook she and the women chefs there created are already making a difference for the kitchen. She cooked meals with the women and told them how proud she was of the work they did together. Meghan wore a red Club Monaco dress with her cranberry-colored Club Monaco coat for the occasion.

In addition to her BBC visit, where Kate rewore a teal Emilia Wickstead dress, Kate also attended a private Royal Foundation dinner last Thursday night. She rewore a red Preen gown for the fancy fall event. Red: truly the royal color of the moment.
