Kate Middleton was among the many senior royals who gathered at St George's Chapel for the Order of the Garter Service Windsor on Monday.

For the celebratory royal ceremony, the Duchess of Cambridge looked gorgeous in a periwinkle blue dress. She tied her stunning ensemble together with an azure-hued clutch and sapphire and diamond necklace and earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. The stylish royal wore her hair in an elegant updo and topped it off with a matching fascinator which seemed to be from Juliette Botterill Millinery.

At the start of the occasion, Kate appeared to be in good spirits while chatting with Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who also looked lovely in a pink dress with a sparkly brooch and a beige and white hat. Other royals at the ceremony included Prince William, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.

Monday's event marks the first Order of the Garter Service since the start of the pandemic. It was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to restrictions and health protocols caused by Covid19.

The annual Order of the Garter ceremony is the "oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain" and was established by King Edward III almost 700 years ago. The stylish affair features Garter Knights, dressed in ostentatious velvet robes and black velvet hats embellished with white plumes. Former UK prime minister Tony Blair and the Duchess of Cornwall are among the many men and women to be recognized for their public service and installed as members at this year's ceremony.
