Kate Middleton’s little ice-blue dress is the new LBD
At the Natural History Museum in London on July 13th, all eyes were on Kate Middleton, who dazzled in an ice-blue dress from Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. The British royal was at the museum to fête the grand reopening of Hintze Hall, which is now home to Hope the blue whale (who took over as star resident from Dippy the dinosaur). The Duchess of Cambridge’s blue dress, then, was perfect for the occasion.
Pairing the knee-length, short-sleeved frock with black Prada sandals and a small but eye-catching purple and gold clutch, Middleton looked sophisticated and youthful, wearing her newly cropped hair in a cascade of curls.
The dress, with its wide neckline and overall vintage quality, looked like something French actress Brigitte Bardot might have worn in the 1960s.
