Kate Middleton has pregnancy on the brain! The royal mom of three spent some time thinking about her past pregnancies during an outing today, and all moms have been there.

The Princess of Wales visited a sensory development class for kids at the Orchards Centre in Sittingbourne, Kent as part of her Shaping Us campaign. During her appearance, she visited with seven children with a range of needs and conditions, including social communications difficulties and other complex needs, and their parents.

Her maternal side came out as “she appeared to enjoy engaging with the children, from rubbing toddlers’ backs and tickling their tummies, to helping them to daub toys with foam and throw tinsel and shredded paper around,” per Daily Mail.

In addition, she spoke to one dad whose wife suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum (HD) during her pregnancy, which Middleton had for all three of her pregnancies.

“It was nice meeting her. When I told her about my wife having hyperemesis gravidarum, it struck a chord with her,” Steve Ikebuwa from Gravesend said of the experience, per Daily Mail. “You could see an expression of ‘I went through that,’” he continued, adding that Princess Kate told him, “I had that, I know what it’s like.”

“You could see her connection to the fact that my wife went through all of that,” Ikebuwa added. “That really resonated with me. She is a pleasant lady.”

HD is condition that causes severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances in pregnant women, which goes beyond typical morning sickness. Kate’s compassion was revealed in this touching interaction. She was likely remembering how hard her pregnancies with Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, were.

She likely also thought about the more fun moments of pregnancies too, especially as she was so warm with the children during the visit. According to Daily Mail, she called a little girl called Skylar “very sweet,” laughed with a cute 3-year-old named Beatrice, and applauded Darcie for her careful work pouring squares of paper into a cup. “Well done,” she said, adding, “Louis has got a Darcie in his class.” So sweet!

This isn’t the first time Middleton has openly reflected on her past pregnancies. During an Oct. 2022 visit at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, Middleton shared, “I keep thinking Louis is a baby but he’s a big boy now.” She was holding a baby while she said this and remarked, “It just feels like yesterday.”

It’s hard not to get in your feels about babies, especially when your own kids seem to grow up so fast! And who knows? Maybe one day Princess Kate and Princess William will have another baby. A source told Us Weekly in December, “They’re both very grateful for what they have and count themselves extremely blessed to have three beautiful, healthy children to raise. But if a 4th were to come along, that would be something they’d welcome with open arms.”

The insider added, “Kate and William are going with the flow in that regard, so this is neither a priority nor something they’ve ruled out. As far as their friends and family are concerned it’s very much a matter of ‘watch this space.’” Only time will tell!

These relatable moments show that Kate Middleton may be a royal mom — but she’s a regular mom too.
