Taking a babymoon is a fairly new tradition — but it’s almost as popular as a honeymoon now! It makes sense: you are super pregnant, so why not pamper yourself? Not to mention, babymoons can also offer some one-on-one time with your significant other before your newborn arrives (you may want to use this time to rest, because you won’t get a lot of that soon!).
Many celebrity moms-to-be have hopped on the trend, too. One of the most common places for these celebrity babymoons are tropical locations, preferably with a beach, some virgin margaritas, and a masseuse who takes pregnant clients! However, you can go on a babymoon wherever suits your fancy. As long as there are A) no other kids invited and B) you take plenty of bump pics while you’re there!
Even the royals have gotten in on this trend, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle going on a babymoon before their son, Archie, was born, and Kate Middleton and Prince William enjoyed a babymoon in the Caribbean.
If you are debating on going on a babymoon before your little one is born, consider this your clue to take the trip. You’ll likely want to go in your second trimester, when chances are you’re past morning sickness — but not quite in the most uncomfortable part yet. Then, just try to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet before your baby is born. You deserve it!

Ahead of the arrival of their first baby together, Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse went on a babymoon to St. Lucia. The trip looked absolutely dreamy and followers could not get over how the mother-to-be has “THAT PREGNANCY GLOW!!!”

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino & Lauren Sorrentino
If you were thinking Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino went to the Jersey Shore for his babymoon, you’d be mistaken! He and his wife Lauren went to Arizona ahead of welcoming Baby No. 3.
“So excited for y’all,” one person commented. “This is also such a nice and relaxing spot to baby moon.”
Mike and Lauren announced her pregnancy just 9 months after they welcomed their daughter Bella. They also share a son Romeo.
Jana Kramer & Mike Caussin
Jana Kramer and ex-husband Mike Caussin went on babymoons with their kids Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4. But after the first one, the country singer learned that Caussin had cheated on her only the week before, leaving a “negative taste” in her mouth.
“One of the things he told me happened a week before our babymoon in L.A., which I thought was, like, the most magical trip we had,” Kramer said on her Whine Down podcast. “And we went to the Montage and Laguna Beach, and I’m like, ‘Wait, a week before, you were x, y and z?’ Like, I don’t know, it kind of tainted [it].”
She added, “We didn’t really do one [with Jace] ‘cause I was so scorned by the ‘babymoon’ name that I was like, ‘Let’s not call it [a babymoon].’ But we went to a pool and had like — we didn’t travel or vacation or travel for it.”
Now that she is pregnant with her third baby and first with fiancé Allan Russell, Kramer wonders. “A piece of me is like, ‘Do I want a do-over?’” We think she deserves it!
Serena Williams & Alexis Ohanian
Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, who are currently expecting baby number two, went to Italy with their 5-year-old daughter Olympia for their babymoon.
“OOO: Took the fam on Babymoon 2 📸,” the Reddit co-founder posted on Instagram in June 2023. “She asked for a selfie so I took advantage of the mirror.”
The family went to Italy, where they saw some famous art during a private tour of the Uffizi Gallery. During the trip, Ohanian also asked his daughter for a performance review, and she gave him a brutally honest review (and a cute critique of his hugs).
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is pregnant with her first baby with husband Bader Shammas, and she recently posted about her babymoon to a beautiful tropical location. She shard a picture of herself in a black one-piece bathing suit to show off her gorgeous baby bump in May 2023. She also posted a picture of herself in the water, tagging Six Senses Zighy Bay near Dubai.
The Mean Girls star didn’t share whether or not her husband was with her on the trip, but either way, this mama-to-be got some much-needed relaxation time before her little one is born!
Kaley Cuoco
Kaley Cuoco is expected her first baby with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey, and the two celebrated with a beachside babymoon.
“🏝️ ♥️ 🤰🏼 💓,” The Flight Attendant star wrote on Instagram in Jan. 2023, alongside several photos showing off her baby bump. In one, she’s relaxing on lounge chair in a high-waisted black swim. In another, she reveals her bare baby bump in a long button-down shirt. Judging by her and Pelphrey’s smiles, the trip was a blast!
Keke Palmer
Keke Palmer glowed with happiness in pictures from her babymoon. The Alice star, who is expecting her first baby with boyfriend Darius Jackson, shared pictures of her beachy getaway to Instagram in Jan. 2023.
“Happy new year. baby moon was in full effect,” she said. She also shared several photos, including one of her in a leopard-print swimsuit, feeding fish, and just enjoying the beautiful water.
Kelly Osbourne
Before Kelly Osbourne welcomed her baby boy, Sidney, with boyfriend Sid Wilson in 2022, she went on a babymoon.
The Osbournes alum posted a picture from her vacation on her Instagram Story in Aug. 2022, showing off her growing baby bump in front of a background of an ocean, patio, and lounge chairs. She also got a massage while there, which Osbourne referred to as her “Baby Moon.” It sounds so relaxing!
Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
Prince Harry reportedly took Meghan Markle on a babymoon when she was pregnant with their son Archie, now 3. (The couple are also parents to Lilibet, 1.) An insider told The Sun in April 2019 that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a private getaway in Hampshire, UK, at the long Room of Heckfield Palace country house.
According to the source, the couple “wanted total rest and relaxation, and Meghan was really attracted to the organic ethos of the hotel which produces much of its own food on an on-site farm. It was very chilled.”
The insider also told The Sun that Harry and Meghan “went for walks in their wellies” and that “Meghan sat on a love-swing hung from a tree and they ate delicious food,” adding, “she particularly enjoyed the hotel’s signature chocolate-coated candied orange and roasted home-grown vegetables.”
Lauren Conrad
She may have been in a scenic location, but Lauren Conrad still had to use her imagination on her babymoon! When The Hills star, who is mom to Liam, 5, and Charlie, 3, was pregnant with her first baby with husband William Tell, she went to a beach for her babymoon, where she shared a snap of her bump on the beach with a cold drink in her hand.
“Babymooning and pretending my blended lemonade is a margarita 🌴👶🏼🌙🍹,” Conrad wrote on Instagram in 2017, which is all too relatable for expecting moms. Not being able to drink is truly the only downside of a babymoon!
Prince William & Kate Middleton
Before their first child, Prince George, 9, was born, Prince William and Kate Middleton went on a babymoon. The royal couple went to the Caribbean to stay in a luxury, 5-bedroom mansion in the private island of Mustique, per Daily Mail. Here, they reportedly enjoyed gorgeous views of the ocean, a 64-foot swimming pool surrounded by tropical gardens, and more. “Their villa is the height of luxury,” a source said.
Mandy Moore & Hilary Duff
That’s right — Mandy Moore and Hilary Duff went on a babymoon together! When Moore was pregnant with her son Gus, who turns 2 next month, Duff was pregnant with Mae, who turns 2 in March.
“Happy birthday @taylordawesgoldsmith,” Duff’s husband Matthew Koma wrote to Moore’s husband Taylor Goldsmith in an Instagram Story in Aug. 2022. “This was from when we took our wives on our baby moon.”
Moore responded: “Best vacation surprise ever!!!”
And Duff chimed in, “Matt we actually just wormed our way in their bb moon.”

Brittany Bell & Nick Cannon
Bell shared amazing photos of the adventure on Instagram, where she showed off her baby bump in a bikini while relaxing in the ocean. She wrote, “More photos coming soon✨The sun hits different in Guam when the spirit of your mother’s ancestors surround you 🇬🇺 Ps. No filter needed.. and it’s safe to say my photographer is a professional 📲😉) #instaguam.”
Cannon cheekily responded, ““❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Dang I can’t get photo credit?!🤣🥰.”
The two are now parents to Golden Saigon, 5, Powerful Queen, 2, and Rise Messiah, 3 months.
Abby De La Rosa & Nick Cannon
When Abby De La Rosa was pregnant with her third child with Nick Cannon, the two went on a babymoon to a beautiful beachside hotel. She shared pictures on her Instagram story, per PEOPLE, writing, “Here’s to celebrating life” and “Walking through this new journey called life with my whole heart. I don’t know what tomorrow brings but I’m open to the wonderful blessings life has in store,” she wrote.
Bre Tiesi & Nick Cannon
Bre Tiesi also went on a babymoon with Nick Cannon when she was pregnant with Legendary Love. She shared pictures of herself in an orange bikini walking hand-in-hand with Cannon (who is wearing a match orange hat) on the beach.
“BabyMoonin 🌙💙👶🏽 I still just can’t believe it…” she wrote on Instagram. “babyc mommy and daddy love u so much already.”
