It’s not out of the ordinary to see Kate Middleton repurpose clothing for different occasions (see: polka-dotted dresses and boat neck gowns), but now, the proud outfit repeater is taking her go-to pieces from season to season.

On Thursday, the Princess of Wales was spotted out and about during a surprise one-day trip to Belfast wearing a baby blue ankle-length trench coat to fend off the cold. While Middleton first wore the coat back in June when attending the unveiling of her and Prince William’s first official joint portrait — where she layered it over a multi-colored sundress — the princess made the same piece work for fall by pairing the outerwear with a matching blue bow blouse and navy trousers.

Coordinating navy heels, a navy and gold handbag, and simple drop earrings completed Kate’s look, and she wore her chestnut hair in voluminous curls with a side part. The princess was also joined by William during the outing, who wore a similarly-toned look consisting of a blue sweater, navy suit jacket, and navy pants.

The pair’s outing came just a day after the princess stopped by the Royal Surrey County Hospital on Wednesday and got candid about the pressures that came with naming her three children. According to People, the deputy director of midwifery, Amy Stubbs, said Kate was “very relatable” during her visit. “She talked a lot about how it felt for her when she became a mother,” Stubbs shared. “She just really talked about her own children, including how they chose their names. A lot of the new mums and dads are thinking about how to choose names for their babies, and they spoke with her about how Kate and William made their choice."

Stubbs added, “She said they were their favorite names and that obviously the world was waiting for them to name their children — and that felt like quite a big pressure!"
