Kate Middleton Just Made Her First Public Appearance Post-Lockdown
After spending three months in lockdown, Kate Middleton just stepped out for her first official royal engagement outside the home.
On Thursday, the duchess visited the Fakenham Garden Centre in Norfolk, where she's been self-isolating with Prince William, and the couple's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis since mid-March.
For the public outing, Kate kept things casual, wearing a blue button-down underneath a quilted vest by Fjallraven, skinny jeans, and Superga sneakers. She accessorized with her sapphire engagement ring and emerald drop earrings, and pulled her hair back into a half-up, half-down style.

During her visit, the mom of three met with the owners of the family-run business — which was closed for seven weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic — to discuss the new protocols they've adopted to safely reopen. Meanwhile, Kate shared with staff that her kids have been growing their own tomato plants and spending a lot of time outdoors during quarantine.
Amid the global health crisis, Kate and the rest of the royal family have effectively conducted their engagements via video chat. However, earlier this week, William and Prince Charles resumed their duties in-person around the U.K. — perhaps signaling the beginning of the end of virtual appearances.
