There are few things we can’t imagine Kate Middleton pulling off, no matter if she’s wearing an oversized hat, a pair of jeans and nautical shirt, or a Victorian-inspired dress. Though we’re not one to have favorites, especially with the Duchess of Cambridge, we can’t deny Kate Middleton in a icy-blue Temperley London dress is at the top of our list.
The long-sleeved, full-length dress is sweet but not too sweet, fitted but still flowing, and done in the most perfect baby blue we’ve seen in a long time. Plus, the fact that the duchess wore this piece on World Mental Health Day, for a reception honoring those working in the mental health sector in the U.K., makes this look all the more meaningful.
With its high waist, black ribbon necklace detail, black buttons down the chest, and pleated skirt, this dress feels classic. Probably because it is a classic.
Kate knows how to keep it simple, but still completely chic.
By pairing this look with black pumps and a simple black clutch, Kate tones down the Victorian-inspired aesthetic of the dress and makes it modern. With her brown hair in loose curls, rosy cheeks, and glossy lips, Kate looks straight out of a fairy tale.
