Kate Middleton’s half-curled hairstyle is the lazy girl look for fall

We get it. It can be really hard to wake up, get out of bed, wash your face, and transition into doing your makeup and hair. It can be dangerously hard. Yet, while we love to rock the bedhead look on occasion, sometimes we just need a selfie-ready hairstyle that requires minimal effort. And of course, we’re turning to the royals to inspire our next signature lazy girl look. Specifically, Kate Middleton was seen rocking the perfect half-curled hairstyle, and now can’t wait to whip out our curling iron for a noble cause.

The Duchess of Cambridge was seen wearing a baby-pink floral Orla Kiely dress with black piping, and her hairstyle pulled the whole look together. While the top half of her head was done in a soft wave, the bottom half is where all the fun happened.

With oversized, loose curls, Kate’s style may just be the lazy girl’s signature for fall.

Fortunately, there are a few ways we can recreate this look. You could start with a large barrel curling iron, and curl the bottom half of your hair into Hollywood-style curls with major volume. Or, if you really want to be lazy about it, you can use curlers and sleep with them in. Whatever way you choose to get your curls, don’t forget to run your fingers through them for some major volume.

Finish off with a belted dress and small diamond earrings to really work the royal look, and you’ll be the coolest “lazy chic” girl of all.
