Kate Middleton is back out, doing her first public engagement of the week at Gilwell Park, the home of the Scout Association. The duchess visited to celebrate the site's 100th anniversary and a new initiative to bring Scouting to younger children, according to Kensington Palace. Kate opted to dress casually, wearing a green jacket, red sweater (seemingly the J.Crew one she wore in the past), black skinny jeans, and boots.

Last week, Kate did her first event in years with Queen Elizabeth II. The two women opened Bush House at King's College London, where Kate wore a grey Catherine Walker dress with a black fascinator. The Queen, meanwhile, was in a light pink coat and hat.

After that event, Kate went to the Foundling Museum, where she removed her hat but wore the same dress. It was a particularly significant appearance-just hours earlier, the Duchess of Cambridge was announced as patron of the museum.

But Kate really went viral last week when she was seen outside of Kensington Palace with two of her children, and several eyewitnesses tweeted their excitement about it. Their tweets were picked up by media outlets in the U.K. and U.S. "In London for 8 hours, walking through Kensington Gardens and who walks past me?! Only Kate Middleton pushing Charlotte in her pushchair with George on his little push-bike," one witness wrote on Twitter.

"I just passed Kate Middleton but couldn’t freak out about passing a princess," another wrote on the platform.

Kate has been seen out in Kensington Gardens before, but still: a duchess-in-the-wild sighting doesn't happen everyday.
