Kate Middleton Could Have a Tiara Moment This Fall

Tiara fans: Get ready, because we may have another Kate Middleton tiara moment upcoming on the royal calendar.
Earlier this week, Buckingham Palace announced a state visit by the South Korean president this fall. "The President of the Republic of Korea, His Excellency Yoon Suk Yeol, accompanied by Mrs Kim Keon Hee, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom in November," the Palace wrote. "The King and Queen will host the State Visit at Buckingham Palace."
Typically during a state visit, a state banquet takes place, attended by senior members of the royal family. As the royal family's website notes, "Usually on the evening of the arrival day, the visitors will be hosted at a State Banquet, which is a very grand formal occasion held in the Buckingham Palace Ballroom. Around 150 guests are usually invited on the basis of their cultural, diplomatic or economic links to the country being hosted."
Kate has only worn a tiara a total of 14 times since her wedding day; most recently, when she and Prince William attended the royal wedding of Jordan's Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif. She typically wears the Lover's Knot tiara or the Lotus Flower tiara—the exception being at her wedding, when she wore the Cartier Halo Tiara. Last fall, for the first state visit hosted by King Charles, the Princess of Wales opted for the Lover's Knot, and then in December, she wore the Lotus Flower tiara for the Diplomatic Corps reception.
No date has been set yet for President Yoon's state visit to the U.K.
