Kate Middleton Chose a Lovely Pink Dress for Princess Charlotte's First Day of School
Back in 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge had to miss Prince George's first day of elementary school because she was suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of extreme morning sickness, during her pregnancy with Prince Louis.
Fortunately, she's in good health today, and is able to accompany Princess Charlotte as she joins her brother at Thomas's Battersea. In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were both there this morning to drop their only daughter off on her first day of school.
For the occasion, which was documented by royal photographers, the Duchess chose a lovely pink printed dress with voluminous sleeves, which is reportedly the same Michael Kors style that she was spotted wearing on the car ride to Meghan and Harry's wedding last May. A black belt, sleek blowout, and pointy toe pumps completed the look. For his part, William chose a more casual no-tie look for the drop off.
Naturally, Charlotte and George wore their school's adorable navy blue uniforms, complete with red unicorn logos.
Back in May, when Kensington Palace officially confirmed the news that Charlotte will be enrolled in Thomas's "reception year," the school's headmaster issued a statement about his royal pupils.
"We are delighted that the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother Prince George at Thomas’s Battersea. We greatly look forward to welcoming her and all of our new pupils to the school in September."
Charlotte is also enthusiastic about starting school. This morning, Prince William told Helen Haslem, the head of the lower school at Thomas's that his only daughter was "very excited" about attending school with Prince George.
