Kate Middleton Borrowed the Queen's Pearl Earrings & We Nearly Missed It
Kate Middleton attended two important occasions this weekend—the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, and the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London.
For both events, Duchess Kate borrowed jewelry from Queen Elizabeth.
It's not the first time that the Duchess of Cambridge has worn the queen's earrings.
Kate Middleton always has enviable style, and we're big fans of her jewelry collection, too.
The duchess stepped out twice this past weekend, both times to honor Remembrance Day, which pays tribute to all of the service people who lost their lives during war and conflict. While Kate kept her outfits chic and simple on both occasions, the duchess accessorized her looks with two pairs of stunning pearl earrings.
As noted by @cambridgesfan on Twitter, Kate borrowed two different sets of pearl earrings from the queen over the weekend. For her appearance at the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday night, Duchess Kate opted for the queen's pearl and diamond studs. On Sunday morning, Kate wore Queen Elizabeth's Bahrain pearl drop earrings for the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in London.
As the website Her Majesty's Jewel Vault noted, this isn't the first time that Kate has borrowed the queen's Bahrain pearls. The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted wearing the precious jewels during Trooping the Colour in 2019, and at previous Remembrance Sunday memorial services. Clearly, the duchess is a fan of the classic pearls.
