As a member of the royal family, the Duchess of Cambridge has a pretty impressive jewelry collection at her disposal.

For her appearance at a Buckingham Palace reception this week, which was hosted by the queen for NATO leaders, Duchess Kate looked incredible in a green dress, but it was her jewelry that caught our eye. Kate opted for a mesmerizing pair of diamond earrings, which actually belong to Queen Elizabeth, as noted by the Daily Mail.

The Duchess of Cambridge is clearly a big fan of this particular pair of earrings, as this isn't the first time that she's borrowed them from her grandmother-in-law. Back in November 2017, Kate wore the diamond teardrop earrings to the Anna Freud Center gala dinner at Kensington Palace. On that occasion, she also loaned the queen's Diamond Quatrefoil Bracelet, which was handed down to the monarch from the Queen Mother.

Prince William didn't accompany his wife to this week's NATO reception as he's currently undertaking a four-day visit to Kuwait and Oman. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were also absent from the event, having spent Thanksgiving in the United States, and on account of their six-week break from royal duties over the festive season.
