Kate Hudson's New "Eco-Evening" Collection Is Perfect for the Holiday Season

Kate Hudson is shaking things up this holiday season with her new eco-evening collection for her clothing brand HappyxNature. The actress celebrated her latest launch in Venice, California where she hosted an intimate soiree that offered guests the chance to browse her own selection of pieces from the collection.

Guests included Katherine McNamara, Jennifer Meyer, Carson Meyer, Shiva Rose, and more. Attendees enjoyed specialty cocktails made from Hudson’s Vodka Brand, King St. John, as well as light bites prepared by the venue, The Butcher’s Daughter.

The eveningwear collection includes 19 vibrant-colored pieces that were inspired by the glamour of the red carpet and Hudson’s fun-loving party spirit. All items are made from recycled yarns to help reduce waste, while also providing a luxe and stylish finish.

“Eco-evening was just something fun that we came up with because we felt like no one was really doing anything like that, so we wanted to make sure that we were making things for the holiday season,” she says.

Earlier this spring, Hudson launched HappyxNature, an eco-friendly ready-to-wear fashion brand that sells sustainably sourced clothing aimed at providing customers with affordable prices. Hudson describes the brand as being compassionate, conscious, and statement casual.

“Affordable clothing is where we’re creating so much waste. So, if I can use my platform, my love of fashion, and put it towards something that could maybe make a dent in that space, I’d really feel good about what I’m endorsing and what I’m putting my time behind,” she says.

The fashion industry is a major participant in pollution, which is why Hudson sought to create a brand that’s fashionable but pro-nature. The mom of three recognizes that it’s hard to create sustainable clothing, but she wants people to be more mindful of the impact fashion has on the environment.

“My goal is to get people out there to really think about what they’re doing,” she says.

The eco-evening line is now available for purchase and full of everything from jumpsuits and flowy dresses to puffy sleeved tops, and so much more. When asked about her own personal style, Hudson notes that she made a point to cater to every woman when designing her brand.

“I think it’s really important to have your own personal style, so for me this is really a reflection of different things that I like to wear, but I really want to pay attention to what it is that women really want,” she says.
