Kate Hudson spent the long Thanksgiving weekend with relatives, and she took to Instagram to share a highlight reel of snaps from the fun family days. “Well this was one great-ful weekend,” Kate punnily captioned the set of 10 images.

It looked like a fun time, indeed. The grown-ups, including Kate’s fiancé Danny Fujikawa, her brother Oliver Hudson, and her sister-in-law Erinn Hudson, had many opportunities to let off steam between afternoons laying out in the sun — and wearing plush, silly turkey hats around indoors. There were cuddles between Kate and her youngest child, Rani, and her oldest, Ryder. Rani also helped out in the kitchen, sprinkling seasoning atop a tray of pigs in a blanket.

Kate deserved an extra bit of celebration; her latest effort at the box office, Glass Onion, was a big winner with audiences. Glass Onion surpassed ticket sales expectations and was a hit despite being out in only limited release. The film, a follow up for 2019’s Knives Out, was also beloved by critics.

Thanks to the promotional tour for the film, we have seen quite a bit of Kate lately. There was one memorably sweet red carpet cameo with her mom, Goldie Hawn, as well as high fashion moments at premieres.

Kate is doing plenty of interviews too, including a chat with The Times of London published Sunday. She spoke about her family, including mom Goldie and dad Kurt Russell, as well as her own three kids, Rani, Ryder, and her middle son Bing. Each child has a different father, but Kate has found a way to make their blended family hum along seamlessly

“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it,” she said. “The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours. I’m not interested in forcing some conventional idea of love or marriage. I’d like to be able to grow intimately with my partner for a long time, but I also don’t have rose-colored glasses on. My goal in life is that I want to feel love and I want to give love, but I’m also practical, so, one day at a time. I work really hard at relationships because I like them. My parents have done an amazing job of continuing that dance.”
