While vitamin C serums are often heralded as miracle products, the truth is, they're not a one-size-fits all situation. To some, vitamin C is a life-changing ingredient that evens their skin tone, protects them from free radicals, and promotes collagen production for plump, glowy skin as promised. But for others, the ingredient can be a little too intense, causing irritation and redness—this is especially true for sensitive skin types. However, Kate Hudson seems to have found her holy grail formula, and its gentle enough for her picky skin.

In a TikTok posted on September 8, the acto shared a short video where she's walking towards her trash can with a bottle in her hand. She says, "you know it's good when it's gone," before dropping the (presumably) empty bottle into the trash.

The bottle in question was Typology Paris' Vitamin C Radiance Serum ($41), a product that contains 11% vitamin C from "naturally-derived, vegan" sources, per the brand. Hudson explains in the caption of her video that she "really liked" the formula because "her skin is sensitive and reacts poorly to heavy creams and intense serum formulations," which, based on the fact that she's throwing the empty bottle away, means it didn't cause any intense reactions on her skin.

She also said because of how sensitive her skin is, she has "to keep things simple," but also, because of her sensitivity, she has really has to "try everything." In addition to the vitamin C, the serum also uses albizia julibrissin extract to bring extra radiance to the skin.

Shortly after dropping this knowledge, she shared another video highlighting some more of her go-to products when filming a get ready with me for her "dinner on a Tuesday," showing off her glam routine for a fun night out.

Her glam starts with a few spritzes of ION's Skin Support spray ($68), and she moisturized with Symbiome's The One Restorative Cream ($125) before going in with an undisclosed eyeshadow pencil, some bronzer, and Westman Atelier Cream Contour Stick ($48). She then lined her lips with a dark red color, adding a plum lipstick on top, and then went in with blush. For finishing touches, she added some Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder ($48) and Westman Atelier Liquid Super Loaded highlight ($58), before throwing on a multicolored striped suit and large sunhat.
