Kate Hudson, Doo.Ri, Jill Zarin And More: 'The Worst Gift I Ever Got'

We'd like to say there's no such thing as a bad gift. But, let's face it, we've all received some doozies. And if you thought famous fashion tastemakers like Kate Hudson, Doo.Ri Chung and Anna Sui were immune to disappointing presents, think again. We asked some of our favorite designers, stylists and all-around fashion lovers to reveal their worst holiday gifts.

Kate Hudson, Actress

"The worst gift I've ever received is also the best gift I've ever received and that was a Dustbuster. I was like, 'What does this mean? Does this mean I'm messy? What does it imply?' And yet, it's the most I've ever used a gift in my life." (Getty)

Simon Doonan, Barneys Creative Ambassador

"The best gift I ever received was when Jonathan Adler, my husband, came home with Liberace, our Norwich Terrier. Needless to say it was my idea to name him Liberace. The worst gift I ever received was when Liberace ate a turkey leg and had a stomach attack on our new Alder rug." (Getty)

Jeff Halmos, Shipley & Halmos Designer

"It's hard to think of a bad one I've received, but one of my favorite memories is when my 93-year-old grandma gave my mom one of her USED oversized "moo-moos". It's a form of re-gifting where you pick something from your closet that you don't feel like wearing anymore, throw it in a box, wrap it, and bang, you got yourself a gift. We had the biggest laugh about that one." (Getty)

Anton Heunis, Jewelry Designer

"I don't know if I should write this, but it was a green porcelain frog from my mother-in-law. It does not reflect our relationship."

Jill Zarin, "Real Housewives of New York City" Star And Owner Of Skweez Shapewear

"Many many years ago, a boyfriend who I had been dating for a year told me he got me the perfect present for my birthday. I was so excited. I thought it was an engagement ring. He arrives at my house ( I was staying with my parents for the weekend) with a department store shopping bag. Bad sign. My parents were in the foyer with me. He tells me he that he and his mother bought it for me together. I opened it. It was VERY sexy lingerie. I was devastated and embarrassed. That was the last time I ever saw him!" (Getty)
