Kate Hudson Celebrated National Vodka Day With a Dirty Martini and a Bathtub Photoshoot

ICYMI, yesterday may very well have been the best day of the year — and no, we’re not talking about Halloween, Thanksgiving, or even Christmas. On October 4, people all over the country broke out their martini glasses in honor of National Vodka Day, but if you forgot to observe the holiday, worry not: Kate Hudson did enough celebrating for all of us.

On Wednesday, the actress documented her National Vodka Day festivities by sharing a glamorous snap straight from her bathroom. In the photo, Hudson posed in a clawfoot bathtub (although it wasn’t filled with any water) while wearing nothing but a lacy black slip dress, a diamond choker necklace, and glitzy silver heels. The A-lister concealed her blonde hair by twisting it up into a fluffy white towel, and she finished her look by adding the most fitting accessory: a martini glass filled with her very own King St. Vodka-based cocktail.
“Redefining wet bar on National Vodka Day 🛁🍸 @kingstvodka,” Hudson cheekily captioned the post.

While the actress’s post comes nearly four years after she first launched King St. Vodka back in 2019, she recently opened up about all that goes into her current go-to martini recipe when talking to Flaunt Magazine about the craft Vodka line earlier this spring.

“I’m like a dirty dirty dirty martini girl. I did a TikTok... I’m the dirtiest martini girl,” she shared. “I’m not like filthy... just really dirty, not like filthy filthy. I like a two-ounce vodka + a one-ounce olive juice ratio, which is a lot. With three olives in there.”
Hudson added, “In LA and in Boston (and in London, but we’re not stocked in London yet) there’s a restaurant called ‘Saltie Girl.’ And they have a martini called ‘The Saltie Girl’ and you can really taste my vodka. It’s an awesome cocktail.”
