Kate Hudson's Son Ryder Is All Grown Up at Grandmother Goldie Hawn's Charity Event

Kate Hudson's son Ryder is growing up so fast! Last night, the actress brought her 13-year-old to support his grandmother Goldie Hawn for her Goldie’s Love in For Kids event in Beverly Hills, California, and he looked adorable as he posed with his family on the red carpet.

While Hudson didn't bring her younger son Bing, she was proud to be able to bring Ryder. "It’s great, this of course, for mom. Ryder has witnessed this first-hand, mom is so passionate about it, so we’re all very aware of how much work she puts into it," she told InStyle. "It’s actually quite emotional because I know the amount of work that has gone into building this foundation."

Hawn started her charity, The Goldie Hawn Foundation thirteen years ago, and ever since has been at the forefront of providing children with the tools to cope with stress, anxiety, violence and poverty through its Mind Up program. "Back in the day when 9/11 happened, I realized our world was going to change forever and our children were going to inherit a very complex and challenging world," she explained to InStyle. "I brought in neuroscientists, positive psychologists, teachers, and actual practitioners of mindfulness, brought them all together and wrote a four-pronged program that I put in schools in order to mitigate fear, stress, all the things to give them an understanding of what’s going on in their brain."

Of course it wouldn't be a Hawn-Hudson family affair if the mother-daughter duo didn't bring their fashion A-game. For the event, Hudson wowed in a floor-length silver Pamela Roland dress, while Hawn looked chic in a black dress from Australian designer SA DOT NA.
